Large, flattened globe bulbs can be harvested in August from spring sowings for short-term storage. In areas with normal low winter temperatures above -10°F (-23°C), seeds sown in August can be harvested early the next summer. In colder areas, it can be planted in the fall and covered with row cover and Quick Hoops™. Adaptation: 35–50° latitude. Also available pelleted.
